On April 30, the Embassy of Argentina in Denmark celebrated a new edition of World Malbec Day at the residence of Ambassador Julio Mercado — an initiative aimed at expanding the presence of Argentine wine in the Danish market.

During the event, importers, restaurateurs, sommeliers, and specialized press had the opportunity to taste our flagship varietal, a symbol of Argentine identity and the protagonist of a story that has brought our wine onto the global stage, along with numerous other varieties that represent the diversity and strength of the Argentine wine industry.

Malbec World Day is a global initiative by Wines of Argentina (WOFA), created in 2011, which has become one of the leading promotional actions for Argentine wine worldwide, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship and COVIAR.

The concept of the 2026 campaign is “Your Malbec, Your Call”, an invitation to enjoy Malbec in a free and authentic way, leaving rules aside to make room for more spontaneous experiences.

The event featured the participation of renowned Argentine wineries and local distributors: Estancia Mendoza, Familia Zuccardi, Luigi Bosca, Santa Julia, Susana Balbo Wines, Pascual Toso, Tres Vins, Best Selection, JPM Trading, and WinePoint.

The evening also included live music by Argentine singer Lyonne, whom we thank for her collaboration in promoting Argentine culture and for bringing an artistic touch to the celebration.

We thank all the guests who joined us for this celebration, where we raised a glass to Argentine wine in Denmark.
